Hey everyone, I did everything to loss weight, proper diet , workout, rest and water from last 8 months my weight was 78 kg ,my height is 5 feet 6 inch and i m 29 year old and right now my current weight is 64 kg . I loss massive fat from my chest, hips and face but the unfortunately part is that I didn't completely loss belly fat .I still can see vascular fat in my mid section after losing so much weight. Kindly can someone tell my progress rate since 8 months and give me useful advise how can I rid of belly fat complete and get abs , I don't know what is my body fat percentage at 64 kg ,I m really depressed and have big regret that I skip fast junk foods and soda but still didn't get abs . Well, it does beg the question why are you so fixated on seeing your abs? For most males, defined abs are not visible until they achieve around 6-9% body fat. That is extremely low for most people and very difficult to sustain on a year round basis, and not really very healthy. All those fitness models you see on the cover of magazines and movie stars in Marvel films specifically diet down for the photosessions/film shoots. The pro bodybuilders train to achieve a peak look for a couple of events a year. In their 'offseason' these people do not have visible abs either.

If your abs are not visible you are still carrying too much fat (to have visible abs. You are probably at a very healthy bodyfat level). If you want to lose fat but not lose weight then you would need to increase lean mass first, then shred off fat. That means caloric surplus and a lot of progressive overload resistance work. To really make your abs pop you need to do a variety of ab exercises: lots of flexion and twisting exercises to bring up the obliques and serratus etc, and crucially weighted work - the abs are just like any other muscles, you need to push them the same way. Weighted hanging leg raises and weighted planks are excellent ab builders. Thousands of crunches are not.

Finally, you need patience. 8 months is really not a very long time to develop any muscle group, especially if you have lost 14kg in that time. Just stay consistent, eat sensibly, keep do the work and it will come if that is what your goal is. Give it another 8 months or year and see where you're at. Just make sure you have a good exit strategy in mind: once you have that visible 6 pack, take the pictures, do what you need to do and then get back up to a sensible healthy body fat level: you don't have to be chubby, 12-15% is a perfectly sustainable level of body fat which still looks lean.

Remember, Instagram is not reality.

Maybe it's something you can look into even if it's one or two sessions once you have been taught what you need to do then you can carry on by yourself

I see your point. Have you looked on line to see if there are any professional teachers that show how to exercise safely and what to do for your stomach worth a look

Loosing weight depends on why you are doing it if it's because you are over weight and following a healthy plan to get to where you are happy then that's fine. Nobody should make you feel like you have expressed above but if you are suffering with anxiety then your GP is the best person to talk this over with. I hope this helps

Sometimes abs are photoshopped onto male models. Waists are photoshopped onto female models and thighs are made smaller.

You've done great. Enjoy your health.πŸ˜€

Hi Saad619, you've done really well so give yourself a pat on the back! Have a look at some of the exercises specifically for the stomach - Fitness Blender on YouTube has some 10 minutes sessions that I like. They're not very "hard core", but will have an effect over time. The NHS site has a workout too - too tough for me! Just give it time and you'll start to notice a difference. It's important you keep up with the healthy eating and general exercise too. Keep going - being fit and healthy is a great lifestyle!

Oddly enough I was telling my doctor exactly the same thing this afternoon. Not that I am anywhere near as slim as you are, but the answer she gave would be the same. It is a female thing, and you have to do the correct exercises to reduce stomach fat.
