What do I do?

I bought a Fitbit watch yesterday and was very pleased with myself that I set it up. My Son rang and I told him what I had done, silence. What is the matter? Mother I’ve bought you an Apple Watch for Christmas. Anyone out there got experience of Apple watches, which would you choose Apple is Fitbit?

I've just got a Fitbit on Saturday and I am impressed so far, I have linked it to myfitnesspal which I've been logging my meals since January..

I don't have experience of or know what an Apple Watch does, but it is said to be better as many on e... are selling Fitbit's in favour of the watch.

Which ever you use.. I hope it motivates you to progress.. 🎉🎉🎉

You are right but I don’t want to upset my Son. Thanks or your reply.

I'm afraid I have no useful advice, wellington, except to say that if You Google Fitbit versus Apple watch, you'll get a technical rundown, which may help :)

Thanks for your reply it looks like Apple will win because my Son has bought it.

You could keep both, wellington, I had a Fitbit and a Garmin and each was useful for different reasons :)

I love my Fitbit but have never tried Apple. How sweet of your son to get that for you!

There's a recent article here comparing Apple and Fitbit: techadvisor.co.uk/feature/w...

The verdict page is here: techadvisor.co.uk/feature/w...

Thank you Leonine for your great article, There are good and less good points I know the Fitbit is fine but don’t want to hurt Sonny Jim!

Oh dear . . . If you are happy with your Fitbit could your son exchange the Apple Watch? They’re quite expensive. That said, I really like apple products as they have such a long life (my current phone is 6 years old) . . . What a dilemma 😕

I would vote the apple watch. I don't have one personally however it seems quite good in terms of features and it can do more than a fitbit if synced with you cellphone. (you can see that you phone is ringing, messages that come through etc.)

For the apple watch you need an iphone as it isn't compatible with the android

Thank you for that.

I have taken the Fitbit back and got my money back. Looking forward to the Apple Watch at the weekend when my son arrives.

I feel for you. Last year my husband and son both gave me fitness trackers.

One is used at home, the other when I visit my son.!!! Mind you the wrist band is the same colour on both so that helps as neither is the most observant male on the planet. 😂
