Hello, I am new to this site and would love to hear others advice of how to lose weight but more importantly how to keep it off. Due to a health scare last year,I lost over 3stone but it is creeping back on. I have gained almost a stone back. Need to retrain my eating habits. Any ideas? Many Thanks

hi and welcome Ktanne
I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.
If you just post a few words on the November Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.
It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey
Many thanks 😃
I think that there are 2 key factors to keep weight off. Firstly don't look at changing your eating habits as a diet, where once you get to your goal you start eating like you did before. Secondly never stop monitoring yourself, you may move to monthly weigh ins, but keep an eye on your progress. I aspire to be part of the maintainers club on here, but I am not there yet! However, the fact that such a club exists shows how important it is to keep on top of things. Good luck. James
When I started out on my weight loss journey back in May, I made the decision there and then that I was changing my eating habits for life as my old way of eating was so unhealthy.
In the past I've managed to lose around a stone on my own and then sabotaged myself and put it all back on, plus a bit extra, but this time - with support - I'm sticking to healthier eating habits and losing more weight than I thought possible! I still have a long way to go before I reach my goal of a healthy BMI but once I get there, I know that this great group will help me to stay on track 😀👍
