Which weight loss plan is best for me?

Hi everyone I am looking for some guidance. I turned 35 earlier this week which has made me think it is time to get back into shape. I am female, single, 5ft 7in and weigh 73kg.

For many years I was than annoying person who could eat what they want and never put any weight on. I don’t know when it stopped but it felt out of the blue I had gone from a size 8 to a size 12-14. Now I don’t want to go back to where I was. A healthy size 10 and around 65kg would be ideal for me.

I have a desk job, so not that active in the day but I do row twice a week with a crew on the local river.

I would love some suggestions on the best weight loss plan for me, especially since I am going to have to learn will power!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also is my target of 65kg realistic by Christmas?

Thanks

Vikki

Hi and welcome to the forum Vrobbo82 ooo so you row, I am sure you will be more than welcome in the Row challenge :)

Best diet to follow? That's a hard one, but many people on here start on the NHS 12 week plan - it is a good one to start with and really helped me - it's not a diet but a new healthy eating life style so that it is maintainable :)

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the October Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey

:)

The best weight loss plan is one which for you is sustainable. Most of us on here find healthy eating, three meals a day, counting calories and controlling portion sizes is the only way to lose weight and more importantly, keep it off. You need to work out your BMI on the NHS calculator and then work out how many caalories you need to stay under to lose weight. The Newbie club will give you more help with all of that. Good luck!

Belated Happy Birthday Vikki!

There's loads of advice on here, so just keep reading posts, and take out of it what you feel would work best for you. 😊

Good luck!
