Aww well done Dizzykate for avoiding the cake, that sounds like it was a definite challenge 🙌
I love my coffee, I use to order grande skinny lattes until recently but they come in at 130 calories a pop so now I order grande Americano's with whole milk as they are only 43!
I'm not really a coffee drinker but can recommend the tea in Costa. Comes in a nice teapot so you feel spoiled. I have a friend who used to try to persuade me to have cake. She would keep on and on and on. But finally she has come to realise I am just not that 'into cake' so the problem has more or less gone away. Glad to say we still enjoy lots of girly chats over the cups! Keep up the good work.
I would usually drink a latte, but I've been going for a skinny Cappuccino. It's about 70kcal. An American I with milk would be lower, but a Cappuccino feels like a treat as I can't make that at home so I take the hit with the extra calories and enjoy it! 😊☕
Personally I have my coffee black without sugar. You did well resisting the cake. If you must munch as well go for an apple instead. I think coffee shops do fruit as well.
Costa! I'm a big coffee drinker and café goer. I choose to spend on this as a piority spend, because it's something my hub and me love. So much so, I borrowed the big nutrition information book from behind the till and wrote out my favourites. (I also go into coffee shops sometimes for work)
I'll post my list of items somewhere where I can add a photo but briefly:
Flat white with skimmed milk 76
Drink in Cappuccino (skinny) 60/90/113
(Small/medium/large)
Take away cappuccino (70/90/119)
And my favourite: Americano with hot skinny 12/18/25
But I also love Americano with whipped cream and that's 80.
Thank you that's really helpful, I like the idea of knowing I can have a treat if I want one but just keep an eye on the calories, the Americano with whipped cream sounds lush ☕️
