Sugar free cuppa tea! (And coffee)

This past 2 weeks I have cut out sugar from coffee. I didnt have much only a teaspoon but I could cut out around 70 cals a day by not having sugar. I have tried sweetner but dont like the after taste and feel it makes it too sweet. I also heard its not that great as its hard for the body to break down but not sure if thats true?

Anyway, i found coffee tastes so much better without any sugar! It has more flavour. To start with i used less coffee but am back to a teaspoon now. I have just tried sugar free tea and honestly surprised i like it! I thought it would just taste of water but its not too bad!

What do you guys think is best in tea and coffee - sugar, sweetner of none?

HI AuraShadows,

I did a post about Sweeteners about 9 months ago, and it has some interesting replies and information in it, that you might want to read?

Personally, I don't have sugar in my tea or coffee anymore, and I would also avoid articifical sweeteners too.

Glad you're getting on so well with adjusting your taste buds and enjoying your coffee and tea without sugar.

Have a great weekend.

Lowcal :-)

I haven't used sugar or sweetener in drinks for about 30 years, so I think no sugar is best :D

If you take your coffee with milk, heating the milk first makes it taste sweeter.

I haven't had sugar in tea fir years, but although I can drink coffee unsweetened, I really like a sweet milky coffee 😕 Only about once a week but I don't mind sweetex.

I have gradually reduced my sugar intake, and stopped all "diet" fizzy drinks and now find fruit etc tastes soooo nice 😊😊😊

Well done on stopping altogether 😊
