Black coffee with teaspoon honey.

So i've never drank coffee before (obviously the odd mug in my life); apparently it helps aids in weight loss along with a diet?

Some advice please? Thanks :)

(I've read not to drink too much though; is 2-3 cups a day fine?)

I think the extra honey will do you more harm than the extra coffee will do you good.

Personally I try not to have any caffeine in my diet. Drinking lots of water is best for weight loss, try it with a slice of lemon.

Oh how come? My mom says I should at least have a teaspoon of honey a day?

Yeah I heard about lemon making water a better aid; I really wanna get those water bottle with fruit infusers otherwise I forget.

Honey is sugar, why would she recommend that you have a teaspoon of sugar every day?

Duno shes always on about it not mattering if its natural sugars and that there are loads of health benefits to it; esp when mixed with black seed oil. I'll give coffee a go without the honey ><

I think it's better for you than sugar but if you are trying to lose weight it's better to give it a miss altogether.

If you enjoy it I would still to one cup a day and only in the mornings in case it affects your sleeping patterns and getting plenty of sleep is important for weight loss.

Hmm, I'll keep it to 1-2 and mainly stick to my pukka detox tea and water.

But for workouts, this was interesting:

That is interesting. Maybe just have one before a morning workout then! Let us know if it works

Having a cup of coffee before you work out CAN help to raise your metabolism for a short period and aid in fat burning.

Personally I don't see the harm in a cup a day and you would find plenty of info around that says it can be quite beneficial.

The honey...hmmmm...well..... if you are watching your sugar intake and it forms part of your days calories I suppose it would be OK.

Yeah I think it defo has made a difference and really suppresses my appetite! I have a cup 30mins before a workout and then wait atleast an hour or 2 after a work out to have lunch :)

And yeah, it's manuka honey, pretty sure it will be fine if it's just the teaspoon a day!
