I finished the 8 week blood sugar diet just before going away. 800 cals a day for 8 weeks
I still have a bit more to lose so moved on to the 5:2 diet where you eat normally 5 days and only 500 cals on 2days, I am still eating low carb and no sugar
This morning I had a black coffee and s hard boiled egg. I ate one plain yogourt at lunch time and I am about to have a tuna salad now.
There was a lot of junk food on offer at the airport but I waited to get home.
I've signed up for the 12 week online blood sugar diet course... Starting tomorrow. I'm at the top end of my BMI and my waist is 37 inches. I'm not diabetic (yet) but my sugars are on the high side of normal. My mother's family is full of diabetes.
I have multiple sclerosis and I am going to do all I can to prevent diabetes. The way of eating will benefit my life and health in general.
I'd like to lose 10 or 12 pounds approximately and then move on to the maintenance plan.
Can I ask do you have any tips for me? How did you find eating so few calories?
I don't find it a problem now I am eating a diet which keeps my blood sugar level on an even keel.
I found within 48 hours of cutting bread pasta rice and sugar as recommended by Dr Michael Moseleys 8 week blood sugar diet book all cravings disappeared. I am full of energy and walking at least 10000 steps a day
I was very strict for those 8 weeks and have lost 11 kg and my blood sugar level now normal.
The book was a great inspiration and there is a recipe book to accompany it. Very tasty and satisfying all alorie counted
Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it especially as you've had such a busy day travelling.
I'm very assured to hear that your energy improved and cravings eased in such a short time.
I've read the book and I also got the recipe book. The 12 week diet includes menu plans etc so I'm feeling more confident about it after hearing from you.
And well done on your fantastic success.
Wishing you continued good health and thanks again
