I'm back and I failed again and I've been gone for so long :(. I should've never stopped coming to this forum but once I lost the weight I thought it was easy and I totally got it. We'll, surprise, surprise, I don't... All the weight is back and going up rapidly. I'm sick and tired of this circle, I thought it will never happen to me again but it did. I'm so tired to start over again and again, it's been more than 8 years, when will I like my body? When will I have the perfect size for my body? Never. I don't have the will power to go trough it all again.

Are you still a healthy BMI, YesICan? I'm asking because when you first joined you were well within the healthy range, around BMI 21.

Being unhappy with your body doesn't always equate to being overweight or over fat. If you are within a healthy range and still unhappy with how you look, it may be best to talk this over with your GP, though I know that's difficult at the moment.

If you are in the overweight range, then I suggest you get back to being actively involved with the forum, rejoining your weigh in team, getting back to the Easter Challenge and posting your meal plans on the Daily Diary. And just chatting to others and encouraging them - that can really pay off.

No one has enough willpower. You need to find a WOE that doesnt' require will power. I think anyone would fail eventually following the diet you describe here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You have proven that doesn't work. Don't repeat the same thing and expect different results! Read the advice you were given in that discussion and see if you it gives you something you can live with without will power.

You haven't failed. That diet has failed you.

Your name says yes, you can, so you can do it. And when you do, come and join the Maintainers, where we all support each other in our efforts to keep the weight off. See you there soon!

I don’t know if it would help to think about this in a different way - not I have tried, failed, try again etc. More that you are interested in living healthily with good food and exercise and you are rejoining this forum to get tips and encouragement and to keep yourself healthy. I guess I am trying to do that. No point in looking back and your energy being drained by these thoughts.

Not what you're looking for?
