You are not pathetic, Susie54 , you are human just like the rest of us. Forgive yourself, and just start again. All of us have had false starts, bumps along the way, fallen off the wagon, but the key to success is just getting back on again and keep keeping on!
We all do it from time to time! Don't beat yourself up, it may have slowed you down by a few days but not ruined things. I had 3 party nights last weekend, drank more than I ate, had a good time but on monday was 2.5 pounds heavier. But alcohol is like carbs, makes the body hold onto water. Try a few days of low carb, low sugar, no alcohol and any extra water pounds will probably disappear.
That's kind of what I did too. We'll be all right. Just gotta keep going.

Don't feel pathetic about it though. Sometimes you need to verve off the track - scenic route is the best route to go for
