Really struggling with my busy schedule to find the time to exercise. My aim is to loose 1.5 lbs per week to get me to my target weight at Christmas, and I know this isn't achievable without exercise. So my question is, does anybody know any intense exercises that I can carry out in my living room? Do any of the 'weigh loss' dvd's work? Only in week two and already starting to struggle with this new lifestyle change😔

Morning jor00029 Have a look at Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds There is a 1mile 2mile and 3 mile walk I really like the videos Great for those rainy days when the weather makes it difficult go get out and about
jor00029 you could aim to wake up at least 15-20mins earlier and do short workouts and with time you can increases your body adjusts. I find it easier working out first thing in the morning and getting done with it, it really limits chances for procrastination. All the best!
Exercise is not essential for weight loss jor00029 it's much more about what you eat. 😊 However, regular movement has many other benefits. It has to be something you enjoy that fits in around your lifestyle, suggestions include :
Stair climbing at work or home, try 5 lots couple of times a day or in the adverts whilst watching TV
Set an alarm and try to move for couple of minutes every hour, take the long route to the toilets at work, stretches at your desk,
Lunchtime walk, or before or after work.
Invest in an exercise bike (loads on gumtree) and cycle whilst you watch TV
Dancing, either at home or at weekends
Just try to move more and faster in every day activities such as housework, hoovering, shopping, pegging out washing, do it with gusto!
And don't forget the NHS choices website which has some excellent videos for you to try at home
From my own perspective, I found trying to lose a certain amount of weight by a certain date didn't work
1.5lbs a week loss is quite a large amount (depending on the total amount of weight you want to lose) and giving yourself an unreasonable timescale to achieve the result you want is likely to result in failure....
I most certainly am not a negative person and would hate for you to think I was trying to put you off what you've planned, but far better to be realistic with what you are able to do on a daily basis and stick that then give yourself an unrealistic target and find you're unable to stick to it - and worse, give up!
I managed to lose 2 stone without any exercise whatsoever. It took me 9 months to get from 14 stone to 12 stone.
