Hello: About to try again for what must... - Weight Loss Support
Hello
Hi FNRS and welcome to the forum!
Go to the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) and take a look at the Welcome Newbie thread. If you have any questions, look at the Topics below, to see if they'll help you out, or ask on the forum. Join any, or all of our challenges
We run daily weigh-in sessions and you would be very welcome to join, on any day. The thread can be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom if using a mobile.
We are also currently trying out a daily diary, so members can gets ideas on which meals to prepare. This too can be found in Events.
Download the 12 week plan, if that's something that appeals to you and don't forget to take initial measurements and photos, as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating fully
Wishing you all the very best with your weight loss journey
Many thanks isou7000 for the welcome! Very encouraging. I am trying to find the Welcome Newbie and daily weigh in threads you mention but can't find them! Maybe my GUI is different. Would like to join in weigh in.
You're welcome.
Are you using the app or the main website?
Pc, phone or tablet?
Choose which day you want to weigh in on and then on that day post your weight on the thread. The instructions are given at the top 😊
Many thanks. Phone (Iphone). Will do.
Ok just to let you know that not all the features are currently available on the app, so it's better to use the main website. I find it actually easier to see things on my pc, but do use my phone as well 😊
Well stick to it this time and commit to making changes. You have to change or things or they stay as they are. If the usual thing doesn't work then do something about it
Enough talking. Action is required by you. If you find it hard then try a WW class ☺ I love going to mine ☺
The NHS diet plans is good, and free! ☺
I just wanted to say, that I lost a cheeky 1.5 lbs this week due to an unscheduled volunteer dog walking gig. The dog wants to walk the whole darned time so,I didn't have much choice but to hit the pavement. The early starts and Late nights wore me out. No time for myself at all 😃
I was really surprised at the scales at my WW weigh in on Friday though. it just shows that by moving more we can shift the weight. Also, when you do more exercise you continue to burn calories for a while afterwards.
This, this is what usually makes the difference, making your body work more means it needs more fuel, that fuel is coming from food, or from fat, control the food, increase exercise and your body will respond.
Sounds like you're losing then re-gaining that lost weight, the yo-yo effect. Try and get into the mind set of it being a healthy lifestyle, not a temporary diet. When you get to your healthy weight you need to keep eating and exercising healthily, otherwise the weight builds up again.
Good luck and welcome to the site.
