I'm new to this group and can use all the help I can get. Besides feeding slightly sluggish, having ms, not happy with my looks and fighting my age, (55) I have my daughters wedding in a year! I'm interested in your program and what you all are doing. I also have trigeminal neuralgia and am on a boat load of drugs ( tecfidera, oxtellar and lemictal.

Whilst we can't advise you on the best course of action for your specific health issues, your GP would be best for that, we can support you on your weight loss journey
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
Be advised, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
well done.. you have given yourself plenty of time to make positive healthy changes to your life before your daughters wedding. You could lose a lot of weight in 1yr in a healthy way if you make the right choices now.... You need to be prepared to take the scenic route a bit as this isnt a quick weight loss plan but is a good way to lose an average of 1lb a week.. i dont know how much you need to lose but just think in a year you could be 4 stone lighter ! i also suffer from trigeminal neuralgia but it only happens a couple of times a year now and i know how painful it is so you have my sympathy. i find its worse when im stressed. Give this plan a go and use this forum for support as it really does make a difference when you know that most people on here know how difficult weight loss is for us all and there is always someone on here who has experienced what your going through as well. good luck & welcome to the forum x
people on the forum use different help some do weight watchers, some do calorie counting like the NHS 12 week plan which is what I am on, some on a 2;:5 or a version of this and numerous others. This forum is a support network for anyone wanting to loose weight and is not attached to a specific weight loss programme and provide motivation and challenges for those who want to participate.
Hope you enjoy yourself and acheive your weight loss goal n matter how long it takes
