Hello 123Duches, welcome and congratulations on a great loss. If you like, an admin could provide you with a '1 stone' loss badge straight away.

When it comes to motivation, I don't think you could have come to a better place, as the people here are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

There are always Events going on that you could join, including weekly weigh ins (pick a day of your choice), where those weighing in that day provide support and cheer to each other.

One of the admins will reply shortly, with lots of useful information, some of which I've glossed over already. It's well worth taking the time to read it all in detail.

I wish you all the best and please feel free to post any of your thought, feelings or questions at any time, as there will always be an ear for you.

Well done you on your 20 lbs weight loss, what an achievement. We all have hiccups on the way to our goal, but keep going and you will succeed.

There is plenty of help on this site, it is really motivational, you will also have lots of people supporting you. I also think now the weather is warming up it will make you feel better in yourself.

Hello Duchess, well done on your loss so far. We all loose motivation for one reason or another sometimes. Have a good read through some of the challenges, Anna61's Re-boot challenge may be worth a look at. The more you take part on the forum the more support you will get. You could also join a weigh in, they happen everyday. Just scroll down through the newsfeed and you will find them. Choose a day and go and introduce yourself, you will find a lot of support there as well. Good luck

Morning 123Duchess

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Well done in losing 20lbs so far that is a brilliant start.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

Hello and welcome 123Duchess 😊 A wedding is a lovely motivator ❤️ I started out losing weight for my sons wedding in 2015 and now they've just had their first baby 😊

Best wishes

Do you have an outfit in mind ? If you have then look in a magazine for similar and how you want to look that day Cut it out and keep it somewhere you can see it every day plus a photo of you that you feel you look overweight in

Write down a list of things that will give you a bit of a "wake up call" like the photos how you will have those for life and do you want to look at them forever and wish you had lost weight Guests always look at what the mother of the bride and groom wear Imagine overhearing someone saying How nice your daughter in law's mum looked and that you looked overweight then imagine hearing someone saying how fantastic you look

You have loads of time to really see a difference and look forward to feeling great on the day and how you want to feel and you have done brilliantly so far

When you think about it it's food and you either eat bad things that will make you feel fed up or healthy things that will make you feel great It's only you that can do it and make that choice

I'm sounding really bossy and brutal I know it's because my son gets married in July and this is the talking to I gave myself and it's really really worked

Wishing you loads of luck I'm sending mum of the groom hugs xxx
