All I can think about is food apart from breakfast , lunch no snacks .... I will not give in , it will take a few days to adjust .. Just keep focusing on the end result .. No muffin & back in beautiful summer clothes ! I've put a photo of me on the fridge , reminder of how I want to be again . Hopefully will stop me eating the wrong things πŸ‘

You CAN do it! And you've made it through day one - so you know you can definitely do day two.

I'm not discouraging you in any way, as everyone has to do things the way that works for them... but you ARE allowed to snack if you can control yourself :) I always plan an "elevenses" snack of a piece of fruit, or some nuts - all measured and calorie counted, but I don't think I'd make it through to lunch without that!

Love the idea of having your picture on the fridge :) that's a good motivator! Especially as I like to nibble ham and cheese lol it would keep me way!

Thank you Kinbun for your support . You are right about snacks , I will introduce eventually just for now I really want to establish my willpower , more mental than physical need to help me achieve my goal .. It's been a while since I had the ability to control my nibbling or portion size. I do believe that is the way forward for me . πŸ˜ƒ Thanks again good luck with weight loss πŸ‘

You definitely have to follow what works best for you.

An alternative option to snacking is to drink plenty of fluid (probably water). Two key times are if you're feeling hungry and also prior to eating normally. The first will hopefully alleviate the need to snack and the second may help reduce the amount you eat before you feel full.

Good luck!

Yes Tiggerr you are spot on, a couple of glasses of water will take the edge off my hunger .. Great reminder.. Thanks for taking the time to post πŸ‘

No probs. There are lots of useful tips and tricks, which until they become second nature, make it difficult to remember (even if you know them).

Hi Loseweightnow

To take your mind off food why not go for a walk, paint your nails or relax in the bath. The key is to try and focus on something else as you say the end result. Good luck with your first week.

It definitely gets easier, stick with it! I found using MyFitnessPal and planning all my meals in advance made me feel more in control ... Peppermint tea is my other top tip for keeping the snack attacks at bay - mainly because it makes anything else taste revolting πŸ˜‰

You can do it 🌻

It's hard at first as you do think about food all the time but that will pass once you start losing its a great feeling and you will think about food but in a different way You will look at the unhealthy stuff and think how did I eat it and how bad it is Everything tastes so much better and also it's great to have a treat now and then and really enjoy it

Yes think ahead and how great you will feel I wrote down all the things I hated about being overweight along with a photo and it really spurred me on

You can do it lots of time before summer and a new fabulous you

All the best xx

I'm on day one today and I really appreciate all the support you've all given to loseweightnow. Was so hard at work this morning when someone appeared with a huge chocolate and cream cake but I did resist. Onwards and upwards :)
