Oh I feel your frustration and despondency Angeleeze but if you have stuck to plan the weight will come off. 😊 Our body weight varies day to day, fluid, hormones etc

I'd give it another week. You really don't want to go too low at this point. How are you feeling in yourself? Do you feel better? More energised? These are better measures 😊

Best wishes

Anna

Thank you Anna to be honest I've had a horrendous sore throat and head cold for ten days now so my energy levels have been unusually low but I'm hoping to get back on that as soon as I start to feel better I was just hoping / praying to see some progress on the weight loss even if it was just a pound or two , I shall persevere and see what next week brings πŸ˜”

Don't feel too bad! I tend to try to use a two-three week rule whenever I change anything diet-wise. So if I up my calories or lower them, I give my body at least two weeks to decide what it's going to do. 1 week to panic about the change and the 2nd week to react appropriately :) Haha this definitely isn't a scientifically based approach - I just think it's a good idea as our bodies do need time to adapt to change.

If you've checked your BMI/calorie allowance and 1800 falls within that then you should lose weight. Why not give it one more week, keep track of the individual foods and calories you are eating, and if you still don't lose weight you could maybe post a day or two of your food diary for people to see, in case there is anything they can see that could be hindering it?

You're doing the right thing for your health and body so please don't give up :) :) That 2lb was put there to test you! :) So prove it wrong! Remember, EVERYONE can lose weight, sometimes we just have to adjust our methods to suit our own individual needs. so you WILL get there. :)

Also lots of people take waist/hip/thigh measurements etc. as they find results in these numbers even when the scales don't go down! - this is something i regret not doing from the start.

Well done for completing your first week!

Thank you i like your words of advice they have uplifted me "slightly" I shall see what next week brings , am slightly gutted aswell because I didn't touch a drop of wine all weekend so was quite positive I'd see a weight loss of some description, fingers crossed for next week then 😟

Well done not touching the wine!

Try to feel good and positive about yourself because weight isn't the only indicator of health. And it's good health we should really be striving for. What good would it do if we got super slim but weren't fit or strong enough to walk up a hill when we need to? So take pride in knowing you're improving your health as you go :)

My issue is I like to eat chocolate as an evening treat. My weight loss stopped recently so I thought I'd stop eating chocolate - I thought it would make a massive difference, but it hasn't made any difference at all! So I feel your pain.

What other positive changes have you made? :)

Oh no πŸ™ˆ it can be a through test of character to push through that, keep going you can do this😊

Don't give up!!! I think out bodies go up and down during the month anyway. I have put on weight, but ignoring it as I've just got back from a 20hr flight, and I'm positive that I have some bloating to do with it (plus pigging out, lol). So roll on next week!!!
