Wow, Janpes what stunning pictures. Such a lovely place for a walk or swim!
Love the photos, thank you for posting. Beautiful!
Wow amazing
Makes me want to explore Finland ☺
Great photos. I haven't visited the Saimaa lake, but I enjoyed watching a musical documentary filmed over there. The best (former) Finnish rock stars perform in the film, here's the link if you'd like to see the film. It's called "Saimaa-ilmiö"/ "The Saimaa Gesture" youtu.be/YavE_w8ztxU
I live really near Lake Saimaa. It is quite large and is about 300km long. Originally I am from Sheffield but my husband is Finnish.
I'm a Finnish expat living in Spain with my British husband.
You know this country so well already. Whatever made you want to move??
That's why I left lol ! No, to be serious, it wasn't my idea to move originally. But I have settled down here, and am enjoying the sun. Fresh tomatoes cost 5 euros a kilo when I visited Finland the last time in January ! I think you're very brave to do weight loss up there. I always put weight back on in Finland :/
Hehe struggle with the beer drinking and sausage grilling especially now with Summer coming. Do you get back much?
Oh the Finns love their beer, even if it costs 9,90 a pint ! Hubby enjoyed Finland in January, but he's a bit strange anyway. I worried so much he might fall over walking on the icy streets, but he was like a fish in the sea. We might go back this year in the autumn, my sister has invited us to Kuopio, and my mother to Oulu.
Both places are great. My friend Lives in Kuopio and we were in Oulu just over a year ago. We stopped over at the Eden spa hotel on our way to Lapland for the New Year.
I'm so jealous, I love snow and we just don't get hardly any and what we do get just seems to be ice in hours, such lovely pictures 🐧🐧 xx
If you like unspoilt nature and being in forests and spending time by the lakes then Finland is the place to visit. I was only supposed to be here for 6 months. 23 years later I am still here.
It looks beautiful! I'd live to visit. I've been to Sweden and Norway, but not made it yet to Finland. These pictures inspire me!
Stunning!
I would love to visit Finland, I think the place looks beautiful but it also has the best music around .. my favourite metal band come from there
Kaunis! Mulla on ikävä suomea!
How utterly fabulous!
