Hi Tenacious, I've just joined too. I put on about 21/2 stone over the last two years and want to lose about a stone and a half.
Hello Tenacious and welcome to the weight loss forum π I love the image you shared, I think we would all like to look like that π Here are a few suggestions for getting the most out of the forum. (Please note some of these suggestions are not available if you are using the HU App so I suggest you use the full website.)
The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you π
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news π
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for π
Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate π
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page π
You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask π
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too π

Hi Tenacious you're in the right place, there are lots of lovely people on here that will encourage & motivate. Also recipes to use if you get stuck for ideas. I lost 3 stone last year & was hoping to lose another 7 pounds but I seem to be stuck, but I'm staying focused and hoping it will disappear soon π Good luck with your weight loss.
Welcome to the forum and goodluck with your weight loss Tenacious hope all goes well for you. You will receive lots of support from others here so you have definitely chose the best place to be.
Hope you are eating enough calories Jules8591 if you don't eat enough as your bmi states you may not lose any as your body thinks you are trying to starve it so turns this into bodyfat which weighs more than calories do. This is why it is important to keep an eye on your bmi index. I made this mistake at the beginning.

Great idea with the ideal image! Having a crystal clear image in your mind is very important, so you know where you are going. Keep believing in yourself, and you will win.

Get the Myfitnesspal app on your phone and start counting those calories.
Its kind of fun and very easy and suddenly you realise all the things you may have been doing that have contributed to where you are.
You can do this. I know it!
