I had a nice little fantasy that any treats you turn down get converted into bonus points to influence your weigh in, wouldn't that be nice although it doesn't really work like that!
I was so proud of myself for rejecting chocolate cheesecake, ice creams and Mother's Day puddings when everyone else was having them on a little holiday this weekend. Then I realised that even though no benevolent God of the scales will give me brownie points, actually I should still remember without this current push of willpower, I would have had them and those lbs would have been continuing to creep on. So anyway, despite feeling that the seaside fish and chips weren't quite following my rules, I'm feeling positive even if the scales aren't showing a loss this week. It's all relative and I need to focus on the wins, so yay for saying no to excess calories that definitely wouldn't have helped me reach my goals! Thanks to all of you who have shared inspiring stories and posted encouragement, it really helps

I think non food treats are good way to make your body appreciate the good way your worshiping it with healthy foods and extra exercise, hence I never feel guilty popping into the Jacuzzi or sauna after my swim or a new lipstick when I've got rid of a bit of weight 😗
What a lovely, positive post and I reckon we do accumulate brownie points that affect our weigh in because each time we make the decision to avoid temptation and eat healthily we feel more in control of our own destiny and more positive about ourselves. I'm so glad you had a nice day yesterday and very well done for resisting those puds x
Yes exactly, there's definitely a buzz to knowing you're making decisions that are positive for yourself, and I like Hidden 's idea of other rewards too! Maybe it's time for some new moisturiser
I treated myself to new fitness bits and pieces - a special microfiber gym towel/ stretch bands/ new smaller t shirt. It's nice to know it's a positive choice not to have food treat and you could have it if you want.
We are always more than a number ...............your weight even when maintaining is a variable, mine is slightly up, no doubt it will be back to normal soon! ( after all 1lb is just that).
Treats shouldn't just be food related too, chin up!
