I wondered if there is anyone at 10st 5 pounds height 5ft 2 in this community. Everyone is doing brilliant on here but it would be good to find someone who's around my age at 55 with the same goals or someone near to this weight height ratio to communicate with on here. I am enjoying everyone's stories but it would be nice to share each week how we are progressing and stay motivated. I am aiming to be around 8stone 4 pounds for my BMI etc and I have a knees problem therefore I need to lose weight. I know this time it's going to be a slow loss. I think if I could aim at this for Christmas 2018 it would give a focus. I realise I'm in this for the long haul. Everyone's tips have been great. I've had to add a little more food today. I was consuming a 1000 calories per day which everyone has said is too low therefore I'm going up to 1200 although on just a 1000 I've only lost 6 pound in 4 weeks. I don't do much exercise and I'm aiming to do a bit more. If anyone on here is near my weight or done my journey I'd love to hear from you. Also thanks all for your inspirational weight loss results.

Me! I'm 5ft 2 and arpund the 10 stone mark. I'm a little younger than you though. I used to do weight watchers but it proved too expensive for me. So after ages of trying to go it alone i decided to come here. Nice to meet you

Good to meet you too. I need to catch up to you. Maybe we can encourage each other at the weigh ins. Do you do any exercise . I'm not doing any exercise just usual housework etc. Do you mind me asking how much weight have you lost, at what rate, how many cals do you have etc., what are your weight loss targets

exercise... well my son and I have started "running" with Zombies Run! which as been great I just dont go very fast, its move of a zombie style swagger chasing after him!

I find the thing about being a little person is that i feel so dumpy carrying any weight at all.

So my plan is to go back to food tracking and try and at least jog after my son without shaming him too much!

So true, I'm carrying all the weight around my stomach. Great that you are doing exercise, I am tracking my calories each day. I've dieted so many times I just want to get the fat off and it stay off this time. I used to drink a lot of wine. I've cut it out and I'm eating healthy. My overall health is greatly improved in every way.

yes! My belly looks like im pregnant, i hate it so much! I'm going to start taking measurements to motivate me as i have never done that before.

I have a job lot of yogalaties dvd's that i have only looked at a handful of times. I think its time to get those going again.

Cake was/is my vice, its so lovely!

Paradoxically, littleLynn, you need to eat more (of the right things) to lose more. If you read through the posts on here, you will find lots of people who say they started to lose weight when they ate the correct amount for their BMI! Strange but true! I'm 5'3"" and started mid December at 10st 4lb. I have lost 9lb so far doing the 5:2. Good luck with your weight ,loss.

Hellooo im doing the 5-2 loving it lost 16 pounds since the first of jan 💕💕im 5 3 but started heavier than you .. Down to 10.3 looking forward to seeing the nine stones ... How are you finding 5-2 ???

in reply to Newyork2017

Hi NewYork2017. I love the 5:2 as it fits in with my lifestyle so much better than daily calorie counting to stay within a certain limit. If I have an unexpected meal out, I know it doesn't matter. My two fast days are rigid 500 cals, but somehow I don't mind it. It's a mindset, I don't seem to feel hungry at all on those days. And I know that on the other five I can eat what I like (within sensible limits of course). My weight loss has been slow, but I don't mind really. I've lost 9lb now but I'm doing my bra up on the tightest hooks, wearing a belt to keep my jeans from slipping down, so it's all good. How about you? How do you get on with it? 😊

I love it ... Two days a week and then eat normally. Today i have over eaten being mothers day and spoilt. But i know tomorrow two days of 500 cals. Its a way of life and doesn't feel like a diet and im loving the 16 pounds weight loss. Im about half way to goal but I want to be bikini ready by my hols in september. 👙👙👙👙

Hi LittleLynne

I'm 5'3" , 11st 10 and 45 (although often feel older). I also carry a good portion of my weight round my middle and would like to get below 9st to relieve my painful knees. I haven't given myself a deadline, I'm just going to do the 12 week plan and see how it goes. I've started tracking my calories but no exercise as such yet, like you I'm relying on housework and the walking I do at work for now. I'm going to do some gentle yoga next week to start loosening and strengthening my joints.

Hi LittleLynne im age 52, 4ft 10 and 10 stone 10.5 lb. trying to lose weight with healthy eating rather than calorie counting and it is happening but INCREDIBLY slowly, realise I may need to start weighing food and counting calories soon but I don't intend going under 1400 as I couldn't sustain that. I work long hours some of that quite active, and do a lot of walking with my dog and need enough fuel for that 😀

To be healthy is main thing. Great you are doing exercise. You will lose weight. I am the same weight as you. I've nearly given in many times but the feeling of losing weight and health is worth more than giving in to the temptation. I just want my knees to feel ok again.

Hi LittleLynne . I'm 5ft 2. and as of today (well yesterday now) I'm 41 years young. 4 years ago I was 12st 13lb, lost a couple of stone then maintained for a few years, my weight then started to creep back up again to 11st 3lb so after seeing a photo of myself at Christmas I though heck no, so I found out about the 12 week healthy eating plan, I'm on week 11 and so far have lost 1st 2lb this time round. At my last weigh in on Tuesday I was 10st 1lb and I too would like to get to about 8 and 1/2 stone to get to the middle of the healthy BMI range. We CAN do this. :D
