Hi all, By this time most of you will now that we are off on a biking holiday in USA for three weeks with the tandem. The intercom system is a problem, as we have lost one of the set.... now we yell at each other which does not look so good on an elderly couple suppose to be having fun on a bicycle made for two OK so where would we have put it last time...... who knows??? We started unpacking and going through every container, shelf, cupboard (which I think is now a little bit neater than before) and bag in the garage.... no site of that little intercom. BUT, surprise, surprise I have found my light rain jacket that I must admit I had forgotten I ever had (hanging my head in shame !) Oh what pleasure and fun treasure hunt it was I can report that we have now gone and bought another intercom head piece and all is well, peace is back on the roads again when we go merrily on our way with our bicycle made for two.....

Here goes to whispering sweet nothings in each others' ears once again!......

We did not find one of the headpieces I think hubby put it somewhere safe hehehe, so that is the one we had to buy again at an astranomical figur, but..... sweet nothings etc, etc, etc

Are you on the back? Will he notice if you stop peddling. Intercom sounds so posh. We use walkie talkies on a narrow boat but that's not so energetic

Oh yes EllaMidlands unfortunately we peddle together, so he can feel when I am not doing my best, but boy do I give him sweet somethings in his ear if I feel he is not peddling to my liking Not really Whenever we pass somebody on the road the first thing that they say is..... "she's not peddling in the back" The best retort I have is " I am here as The Beauty, he is here as The Beast ! or he will say: " oh dear then we are in trouble as I am just steering and breaking, she is suppose to keep the wheels turning! The best we got once as we were huffing and puffing up quite a steep hill was is a young man yelling: "GO Granpa, GO..... the old lady behind you is catching up fast and on her way to pass you and beat you to the finish line !! We laughed so much that we almost did not make it over the hill!

The intercoms sounds posh, but are quite a sight to behold..... the earpiece stuck on the side of our cycling helmets and the receiver to the top of helmet....like little martians visiting earth. Walkie talkies wont work as we need both hands on board..... except when I say "handsoff" and he then knows I am taking a few photos! As I said so many times before...... It is so fun on a bicycle made for two

This just makes me smile so much Mammou , I think it's great that you and your husband can go off and have such fun together. I just want to sing 'Daisy Daisy give me your answer do". When do you go on holiday?

You need to take a 'photo and see if one of your family can put it on here for you.
