I have used "MyNetDiary.Com" for the last 3 years and found it excellent. Work at it and stay focused and you will succeed.

Created an Excel spreadsheet with a few bells and whistles and the ability to build my own recipes into it each time I make something new. Doesn't do barcodes :(

I use myfitnesspal app best thing, so simple to use even scans bar codes. From major cals, protein, fats and carbs to the micronutrients sugar, potassium, iron etc. Plush counts your steps.

Good luck

Hello,

Get a good calorie counter app (or a booklet). And you can also look at the food labels of everything you buy, which will contain the calories per 100g and also sometime per portion.

Apart from leafy green vegetables, it is best count everything as carefully as you can, by weighing and measuring. It is rather boring, but it means that you willl be accurate.

I allocate calories to my meals - 250 for breakfast, 350 for lunch and 450 for dinner, with 150-200 for milk every day, and try to keep my meals as close to those numbers so that I can spread my food throughout the day. You might want to try a similar approach, to avoid running out of cals by dinner time!
