Hi and welcome, kbed :)

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you :)

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news :)

Have a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate :)

We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too :)

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey :)

Hi Kbed,

I think you've done brilliantly to have lost 2 stone since August 2015 - and I know you're stuck at the moment, despite doing exercise and keeping your food diary. Have you calculated your current BMI to see if you still need to lose any more weight? This calculator is good, if you want to check it out:

nhs.uk/tools/pages/healthyw...

You sound like you're in great shape, being 67 years old and fit and healthy - attending the gym 6 days a week and doing 2 aerobic classes last week and your 2 mile jog/walk - wow, I think you are doing really well - maybe you are already at a healthy weight, and infact you have more muscle? Do you feel your clothes are fitting how you'd like them to? There are other ways to look at your success - it's more than purely weight that matters - but how you feel.

Anyway, good luck with your goals, and I hope you have a great week.

Zest :-)

Hi kbed , I agree with Zest , you should check your BMI. You're doing a lot of exercise, are you eating enough, if your not, your body maybe holding on to what it's got. You have done really well to loose the 2 stone and I think 63kg is just over 10 stone, that sounds like a healthy weight, depending on your height of course. I know it can be hard to loose those last few pounds, although I'm way off from the yet. I hope you find the answer. Good luck😊

I go from 900 cals to 1200a day except for w/e then i might go to 1400, i am eating more cals this week to see what if any difference it makes

Hi kbed , I just looked up your BMI on the NHS and says you should eat between 1388 and 1785 cals a day. I personally don't eat as much as they say I should, 900 cals however does seem a bit low. I too save some calories for Friday and Saturday. They are the two days I will struggle with so I keep an extra 100 calories for each day. I know from past experience that it can be good to have a total food shake up and to try and vary what you eat. I see you have upped your calories, it can be scary to do that. I upped mine from 1300 to 1400 initially and now I sometimes go as far as 1500, I am in my 5th week and so far I have lost 6.25lbs. I'm not looking to loose too quickly, i've done that before and put it all back and more. Post again and let me know how you get on with upping them. Good luck.
