Health : Hi I am new to this page . It's... - Weight Loss Support
Health
Welcome to the forum , George. You will find lots of support here. It's an amazing place, somewhere to celebrate, vent, have a good moan or just tell us about your day.. good luck.
I'm new too George, it's a very friendly forum. Will watch out for your posts. You can do it. Onwards and downwards. Good luck.
Hi George and welcome. As you can see from the badge, I'm new here also. As the others have said, this website is full of very friendly and helpful people.
Quite a few people here, including myself, are following the NHS 12 week plan. If you haven't looked at it, you may want to give it a once over and see what you think.
Anyway, an administrator will probably feed you more info about the site etc..., shortly.
Good luck and just shout out whenever you have any thoughts, questions, concerns, revelations.....
Thanks I get weighed in our health Village 31st. January. All the best to you to. G
Welcome! I was 23 stone a while ago. What is working for me is setting mini goals one stone apart. I don't think about end goal, I just reward myself with a present every stone. You will see a difference in your health and pain after the first couple of weeks. Good luck and keep posting!
Good luck with losing the weight. Keep reading the posts - will help keeping it up.
Hi and welcome, George
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you would be very welcome to join any, bar Monday and Tuesday, which are unfortunately full. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Thanks for your support. I am under the Dietitian NHS Aberdeen Forresterhil Hospital. I have my 1st. Appointment for this year on the 31st. January. So will get weighed & will ask to be measured. Kind regards George Harley.
I will start the 12 week plan. 1st. February. Just about to get the plan. Kind regards George.
Good luck George! You've made the first few steps on the journey which is always hard - slow but steady is the way to go
Hi George, this really is an excellent forum. I joined a couple of months ago and find it truly inspiring. We are all in the same boat. I'm also under a community dietician but I get more useful information and tips by logging on here. Good luck with your weight loss journey
All the best George56 . I'm sure you'll find that as the weight drops your mobility will increase. Do keep us up to date with your progress.
Good morning George56 ☺
Well done on taking the first most important step ☺ I hope you have had time to look around the forum, read the Newbies post and become acquainted with a few people ☺
I have successfully lost almost 3 stone on a dietician led scheme run by Grampian Health called "Healthy Helpings" so ask about it when you go to Foresterhill on tomorrow. ☺
If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺
Best wishes
Anna
Hi Anna I was on the healthy options to I lost weight doing the short walks & enjoyed the cooking class. I think they still meet up on a Monday. I have real problems with my leg injury and mobility and good at hiding how I feel. The nurses are the best. The Aberdeen Health Village & Forresterhill Hospital as well. Kind regards George.
