I've had a long day and was just about to order a takeaway so I thought I would come on here in an attempt for me to resist the temptation ! I've always been such a comfort eater and it's let me down in the past but I'm determined to change this !

Takeaway cravings are kicking in !
You done good coming onto here, it shows you can do it if you put your mind to it.
Thanks man
Stay away from the takeaway. Eat anything but that as you will just go to bed feeling bluh. How about some eggs if you are hungry or a piece of toast or just go to bed. If you clean your teeth it might stop you wanting to eat. How much do you want to lose? Why do you want to lose it?
Thanks! Yeah cleaning my teeth is a good shout - there's no going back after that haha ! I'm currently 74kg and want to get down to 65kg which would put me in a healthy BMI the main reason that I want to lose weight is to become healthier as my BMI is currently 28 and I want to change this ! In the past losing weight has always been a superficial thing for me to want to change my appearance but now the health implications have become more significant for me ! Wow you've lost 4 stone , that's so impressive ! Any tips for us newbies ?
Let the determination win and resist, so easy to give in after a long day. Just think how pleased you will feel in the morning. 😄
You need to prepare some dinners in the freezer for times of ease like now, why not do an omelette or something from the freezer?
A good recipe book with some simple yet nice 'fake away' recipes could help satisfy that craving.
I love curries and have them often and it is possible to prepare them healthy. There are recipes for chinese, mexican,.... in the Hairy Dieters cookbooks, I especially like the yellow book.
If you google 'Hairy Dieters Recipes' there are quite a few recipes on the bbc webpage for free.
Being able to have curries, chinese, etc., keeps me on the straight and narrow 😉
If you marinate chicken pieces in olive oil and paprika and oven/grill them then put red onion, red cabbage and any other salad you fancy in a wholemeal pitta with some plain yogurt it makes an amazing kebab. You could even add some homemade chips or sweet potato fries. Homemade fish and chips with tempura batter is also nice and any homemade curry or stir fry. Definitely get a couple of recipes you can make and freeze for easy weekend dinners. Try BBC good food for ideas. Good luck.
