Say No To Naughty Snacking

How about if we either describe or post a photo of the healthy snacks we're now eating in the New Year as a kind of post Christmas Recovery Plan to encourage us all not to finish off all those spare chocolates, biscuits and fruit cakes just because they're there and we can ? We could do this for January and see if it helps.

good idea... I've actually cut out snacking altogether now that ive gone carb free so won't be able to post snack ideas.. but i can post some of the lovely meals I'm now making that are keeping me full to give people low carb meal ideas.

Definitely worth a go!!

Good idea miopus . I buy whole honeydew melon and have a bowlfull with a bit of ginger sprinkled. Sometimes a few whole almonds. I still like a couple of Ryvita with quark or cheese spread and sliced apple too. I gave remaining Xmas cake to the birds, they loved it!

I've got into terrible habits over Christmas and this week told myself the ONLY snacks I was allowed are fresh fruit ☺ It takes time to peel and eat and that helps too!!! ☺

Goodd thread ☺

Nice idea miopus . I have tried to cut out snacking on naughty stuff, and have either two clementines or a few nuts and raisins if I can't make it to the next meal without. But every now and then I do indulge in a small bag (one of a six-pack) of Metcalfe's Skinny popcorn! It seems indulgent, but at 17g and 78 calories, it takes longer to eat than a biscuit, and has fewer calories than a single digestive! Gluten free, high (relatively anyway) in fibre and no artificial flavours. And no, I'm not on commission!

I solved the leftover Christmas cake problem this year by not having one! In previous years, especially when I have made it, because I love it, I have found myself finishing it off in March or April a) because I eat it in fingers and b) because the rest of the family aren't really into it at all. Even when covered in homemade marzipan and lemony icing. Oh well, I did enjoy the one slice I had round at a friend's house....
