I'm such an eeejit sometimes. After careful calorie counting all over Christmas and New Year (overeating sometimes, but always logging my calorie intake), I thought I was in control and getting into good habits. Then today we travelled back from Scotland - big mistake to travel on a bank holiday! Took two hours longer than usual and so when we got home, I was ravenous. I could have eaten the dog's dinner, I was so hungry. And the cat's. So while I prepared doggy din dins and fed the cat, I had a piece of Christmas cake. Well why not? But I felt so wobbly with hunger, that I ate two more slices whilst I got our dinner ready. Oh dear! Now I feel a bit sick. Haven't binged like that for ages. I think I have learned my lesson. Back on that wagon tomorrow.

Hi Hidden
Try not to be too hard on yourself...just dust yourself down and get back up! These things happen and it's about what we learn when these things happen. I've enjoyed the holidays and gained some weight but I am trying to keep it all into perspective and I am back to healthy eating today and at the gym tomorrow so that's all good.
Good luck and try to be kind to yourself!!

Thanks Sazkia, I will do. New day tomorrow. 😊
Oh well. One mistake won't throw you off course. Just try to remember that you felt sick and that should help you avoid the trap next time. (Not that it helped when I wanted to eat a whole chocolate orange ... but that's a different story ).
I heard the holiday traffic back from Scotland was a nightmare yesterday. We left late on New Year's Day and managed to avoid it.
