Trying again

Hi everyone, I'm having another go at getting back to a healthy weight. Ideally I'd like to lose 2 stones but my first goal is 7lb. At 60, I've spent many years trying and sometimes succeeding. Good luck to all!

Good luck. 7lb is a good first goal - how long might it take you? A month? 6 weeks?

Hi Ariele-6 ,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. Have you read our Welcome Newbie post? It's in the Pinned posts area, and is worth a look - also I would recommend having a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as it's very good and easy to follow. I've found the weekly planning sheets invaluable in helping me keep on track with eating and exercise.

Do join in with anything you like the look of in the forum, and I would like to wish you all the very best in your aim of losing that first half stone. Personally, I find joining the challenges extremely motivating.

Wishing you a great week.

Hi there !!

I've also set myself a goal of 7lbs a month which I think is a achievable and healthy target.

Hopefully by end of January we will see a 7lb badge next to your name.

good luck x

Hi and welcome

I think 7lb loss is a great first goal - it will take you as long as it takes ;) depends on your determination, portion sizes etc and how strict you are on your calorie counting.

The NHS 12 week plan is a great place to start

Wishing you all the best - onwards and downwards :)
