i walked four miles in two days and I have the blisters to go with it.

The blisters encountered are purely a result of your increased endeavour.

As such, seek to soak the feet in tepid/luke warm water for 15-20 mins, to reduce inflammation of the skin, before treating the feet to an application of coconut oil, to soothe and replenish tired skin.

If the skin upon the soles feels angry and inflamed, wait until its subsided before attempting to remove any calluses.

However, to reduce the occurrence of blisters, it'd be worth investing in a stick of BodyGlide, applying it liberally to the feet before heading out the door.

I wear double layer socks for running and they massively help with blisters (they have them in sports direct, not too expensive). But generally look out for good padded socks, and try not to wear the same shoes all the time. Hope the blisters don't put you off doing more walking!
