I think I made a mistake when I talked to my dietitian about not weighing in the holidays. Even though I am not around too much food but I am still working out a healthy eating lifestyle that suits me!. And the season is just beginning and waiting for another 2 weeks can be a painless I do not know what. I was wondering if you guys can be my sounding board every couple of days. I thought my brain had the perfect vision that just eating 3 meals plus night snack and walking was going to do it and right now I am craving the Christmas seasonal goodies and what was I thinking. My poor dietitian is when I go back. Hopefully have a better thinking tomorrow!!!!

I think I need some help
We are all craving the seasonal goodies! Good idea to stay active on this forum - there's some good ideas to help us get through and we can all encourage each other. One day at a time. I'm sure it was you that said to go for a walk to distract yourself from cravings - that's a good idea! Cravings tend to be short lived. I like to have a tiny bit of everything so I don't feel like I've missed out. Good luck!
If you want Christmas, light a cinnamon candle! Everyone finds this time of year challenging.
I keep telling myself I should try Rule 1: if anyone gives you a container of assorted chocolates, don't open them. As soon as your guest leaves put them in the outside bin. Or as people in my neighbourhood do, place them on top of the bins as a thank-you to the bin collectors.
These containers of chocolates are actually little regrets just waiting to be consumed. Bah humbug!
Thanks for that - I think it's really useful to talk about Christmas chocolates as 'little regrets' - you are spot on with that - and I have learnt a new tactic for my weight loss tool box!!
I weigh myself every single day. I know it's against everyone's advice but it just reminds me every day to focus. If I stop doing it, that's when the pounds pile back.
I was given some Chocolates in September they are in the cupboard and if I feel wobbly instead of ripping the packet open like I used to do and scoffing the lot I will take them out unopened and talk to myself ( yes I am mad lol) that they are the reason I got to my starting weight in the first place then gently shove them back in the cupboard.
I will have the odd treat over Christmas but that's it, I will be happy to maintain during this time. Honestly there are two choices to eat what you want and let yourself down or be proud of yourself have an odd treat, we are all human after all and enjoy a lovely festive season then there's no damage done, no over endulging and you will feel so proud of yourself because you are doing so well so far. 👍😊
My daughter in law to be bought round some mince pies last night ( treated herself to a new mixer) they smelt and looked gorgeous so when my daughter grabbed one I had just one bite so I could feedback what they were like, it's tough even when we have been good for several months.
If you want to feedback to us your day that's great we are here for each other and want success for each other too. Good luck and hope you have a brilliant Christmas. Bev🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
We don't go away over Christmas Wadestreet . There are even people around on here on Christmas day. If you crave the weighing in how about something like measuring your waist at the beginning of each week, that can be a useful gauge. Stay strong and take each day one day as a time. You can post as much as you like on here even a few rimes in one day, no limit
Thank-you for your guys help and allowing me to express myself. It is 38 below freezing point today but after eating breakfast I am going to bundle up go to the gym and do my walk. one day at a time or even one moment over the Christmas season.
