Hi Louise2016,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. Great that you've just started the NHS 12 week plan. I think it's a great plan personally - and enables healthy choices and a steady weight loss - I would like to wish you success and hope that you enjoy it.

Have you read our Welcome Newbie post? It's in the Pinned posts area, and has lots of encouraging posts from past and current members. Definitely worth a read. Please join in with anything you like the look of, and there are numerous Challenges going on too - which are worth joining, and fun to do.

Have a great week.

Lowcal :-)

Hello Louise2016 😊

To answer your question, this forum is great !! 😊

Most people calorie count, (many follow the nhs12 week plan) which in my opinion, is the best way 😊 But it's important not to reduce calories too much, to make the eating plan sustainable long term 😊 Variety is important, and eating as many fresh unprocessed foods as possible 😊

Good luck and best wishes 😊

I'm doing ok, lost most of my weight but had hysterectomy in August and have been struggling to get back on plan since! 😊 Calorie reduction works, slow and steady for permanent change and long term health 😊 How are you getting on?

Hi Anna sorry for the late reply I am sure you will get back on track with a lot of support hope it all went well. To be honest I have lost track as well had so much on you get lost off. I came on for advice on how to get more active and health eating as I am dealing with a few health problems was at ENT yesterday told I have tinnitus and was in hospital last week with suspected appendix so I'm going through the wars at the moment.

Be kind to yourself 😊 Focus on eating healing foods and portion control 😊 If you can, accept a few weeks of maintaining until you are fit and well 😊

Best wishes 😊
