HI, I'm a newbie around here

I am 65 and determined to lose at least a stone before Christmas. I plan to do this by calorie counting and exercising regularly, and cutting out bad habits like snacking. It will take discipline (something I have been lacking), but I fell strongly motivated at the moment. I just need to keep it up! Wish me luck :-)

Hi Cristalmundo,

Welcome!!! :-) I hope you'll enjoy being part of the Weight Loss NhS forum - I'd recommend having a read of our Welcome Newbie post - it's in the Pinned posts area, which are on the right-hand-side of the forum (or at the bottom of your screen if you're accessing via a mobile device). The NHS 12 week plan is good, and worth a look too. I know you've planning to calorie count and exercise regularly, which is along with the principles of the NHS 12 week plan. Using an app will help a lot with the calorie counting side of things, so something to consider too.

I'd like to wish you luck! Please join in with any Challenges you like the look of, and if you fancy a weekly weigh-in, then consider joining the Monday group weigh-in - it's going on today! So do pop in if you want to - the most recent link is always in the Events section (below the Pinned posts).

Have a great week.

Lowcal :-)

This might seem a dumb questions - but how do I join the Monday weight-in exactly?

Hello Cristalmundo 😊

Just weigh yourself at home, then write your answer at the end of the 'weigh-in' thread 😊 This is usually pretty high up on the news feed on Mondays, 😊 If you 'follow' lowcal and moreless you will get an email every time they write a post so will Also get a link that way 😊

Ps the weigh in is open until Friday so don't worry if you miss it, 😊
