After my moany old post before, I thought I would share something positive. I bought some lovely yarn in our local market, and am working on a chunky, cosy cardigan. Great to have something to do in the evening, and the soft colourful yarn is nourishment for the senses and the spirit. It's also a great distraction from the desire to nibble!!

Busy fingers!
Lovely colour and like yourself I too am making craft items for a new baby (son's friend) and Christmas gifts to keep my mind off the snack attack devil. But it's great to see the finished products post when it's complete and hope its for yourself and these cooler nights. 😊👍
That is some lovely yarn, Ruby!
Love the colour!
I must say, I always have a project on the go, it does keep the fingers busy and less likely to stretch out for that biscuit! But it's my job as well - I write knitting patterns for a living and it's lovely to have access to all the gorgeous yarns out there. Contrary to popular belief we don't all sit around in armchairs with cups of tea - it's proper office work and cups of coffee!!!
Unfortunately pretty sedentary!
I find knitting a great distraction from snacking in the evenings and stopping me nibbling during the day. Love the colour and it looks lovely chunky wool. I've just finished some baby matinee coats and blankets. Now I've started my Christmas knitting, starting with stockings and then going to be doing some more snowmen. Enjoy your knitting and look forward to seeing the finished cardigan.
Have a good day.
Rose
Oh that's a lovely colour and berry is a big colour in this season's fashion palate.
Keep knitting 👍
You are so clever and what a lovely colour
I learned how to knit, but was never very good at it. And crochet was an absolute disaster, everything came out as a triangle whether it was supposed to be or not!
I much prefer cross stitch as the fabric doesn't tend to move on me the way yarn does.
Looks like it'll turn out to be a beautiful sweater as well as being too nice to get crumbs on!
Beautiful colours. I too like to knit and find it prevents me nibbling. I also make small agreements with myself if I knit x amount and am still hungry then I can eat but not before. It is amazing how many times I continue knitting and forget to eat or find I am not as hungry as I thought. Trying to break 'habit eating' as this seems to be downfall.
Knitting and craft work really helps. Would others think an online forum for knitting and craft with shared ideas and expertise help?
