Hi Anne and welcome to the forum. I have to be honest and I have just googled what atrial fibrillation is as I wasn' t sure. Because you are on the weight loss forum I am guessing that health professional s are recommending this route as a way to managing your symptoms. We have a weigh in on Mondays and lots of challenges to join in with. The welcome newbie pinned post is another excellent place to familiarise yourself. Good luck and I am sorry that it was a nasty shock that brought you to us. I hope you are feeling a little better. Looking forward to hearing from you again. Xx

Thanks ever so much for your comments. Yes have been advised to lose weight by the doctor! It's one thing knowing what you have to do but another entirely doing it. However, I do have a great incentive, I want to be around to watch my gorgeous 4 month old grandson grow up! Thanks for your tip re the newbie pinned post - I'll take a look now xx

Hi Anne253,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum, and great that you're going to have a read of our Welcome Newbie post - and I hope you'll join in with anything you like the look of in the forum. It's a friendly and supportive place.

I'd also like to give you links to 2 other HU Communities that might be beneficial with regard to your recent diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation.

Arrythmia Alliane (HU community):

healthunlocked.com/heartrhy...

AF Association (HU community):

healthunlocked.com/afassoci...

Hopefully those communities will also be helpful and are worth a look.

Have a lovely weekend.

Lowcal :-)

Many thanks Lowcal - I've looked at both the sites (that I never knew existed) and they are really informative! Everyone seems very friendly here and I know I'm going to enjoy this community very much! :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend too.

Anne (who is now feeling very inspired!)
