Morning all, it's my birthday today and I'm going to try so hard not to over eat/drink today. My husband is making me birthday cake, lovely gesture but all I could think of was calories....it's so close to weigh day and I've been so good all week, how do others cope with birthdays? Any advise appreciated X

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Kathy! :)

Just make sure that you add any treats into your calorie allowance today and maybe go for a nice long walk :)

Birthdays are for enjoyment, not worry, so if you do gain a little, what the hey? You've got a whole year to deal with it! ;)

Have a lovely day! :)

Happy Birthday ☺🎂🎁🎉

Happy birthday enjoy ,tomorrow's another day and you can get back on track I'm sure one day won't do too much harm , have a lovely day :)

Happy Birthday Kathy.

Hope you have a good one and if you do go over your calorie allowance could you maybe cut back a bit tomorrow? Just a thought. Xx

Think of weight loss as a year long journey and this is one day out of 365. That's a very small fraction in real terms. So enjoy today and get back on the wagon tomorrow. Xxx. Happy birthday xxx

Happy birthday. I agree with everything said enjoy your day. But if you are stressed about the cake weigh your portion so that you can accurately see the calories- then you can savour every mouthful without feeling guilty 🍰

Firstly, happy birthday! :D Woop Woop!

Don't worry too much about cake, how about make a big deal about it to your partner, after-all he has made it for you, then have a small slice (making sure to count it in with your calores) then suggest you both have a lovely scenic walk and burn some extra calories? Then 'share' your cake with you family and friends while all the time claiming how wonderful it was of your partner and how delicious it is? That way you don't eat too much cake, you don't hurt your partner's feelings, you fit in some extra exercise and share something lovely birthday with family and friends! :) Job done! ;)

We do need to be able to enjoy life sometimes and not agonise ,so savour every mouthful very slowly and factor in some more steps somewhere in the next week. The guilt makes it hard to find the balance and we also don't want to feel like a party pooper for everyone else but for the next 364 days it can be no cake!!! Happy Birthday!
