Diagnostic scales - Lidl

Just thought I'd let everyone know about the diagnostic scales available in Lidl, but probably only for a few days.

For those interested in body composition they calculate BMI, % body fat, water and muscle, and provide value guides for each. They link to an iPhone app via Bluetooth and provides suggested calorie intake which seems to match the NHS BMI site.

At £19.99 I thought these were quite reasonable and the accuracy matches my existing digital scales.

Sorry to sound dim, but how exactly does this type of weighing scale identify body fat and water content just from your weight??

You can input your height and activity level and if you use with slightly damp feet there are sensors which can then analyse body composition.
