Hi Hazel,

No, you've not made it to the right page yet, I am going to give you the link below, please 'click on the link' and then you will be taken to the right page to post your weight:

You're very nearly there, Hazel, give it another go, and hopefully you'll be there! :-)

Hi again Hazel,

I've just heard that you've ended up in the Winter Solstice Challenge, which is great. I will on this occasion copy and paste your weigh-in to the Monday group weigh-in, and tag you there. I hope this is ok, as I realise you've really tried hard to get there, and it's been very difficult for you. I hope you'll get used to the site over time. There is a lot going on at the beginning of the week.

Lowcal :-)

Welcome Hazel. I too am new and just starting my third week. It took me a little while to get used to this site partly because there is so much on it. I'm a similar weight to you and my goal is to lose a stone by Christmas. I personally ensure that I eat what I enjoy and I do count calories while trying to eat healthily. I'm looking upon this as a permanent life change and therefore I'm in this for the long haul instead of a quick fix. Very best wishes for the week ahead.

Thank you for the encouragement. I have just checked up on the calories site. Jacket potato cheese and beans no butter 700+ calories. ( thought this was a healthier option) a no go now I think.

Perhaps look at the kind of cheese you are using. I use the light Laughing Cow triangles and I like those. You could also look at other fillings. Quite a few people on here show photos of what they had for their evening meals along with how to make those meals and I get some good ideas there. Any advice you need, just ask it on this forum and you will get plenty of help and encouragement. For my dinner, I usually have a decent portion of potato with two or three lots of vegetables along with fish, chicken or some of the Quorn products. That is because I have never eaten red meat simply because I don't like it. No food is banned on this eating plan, you just need to make sure you stay within your calorie allowance so that you lose weight. Best wishes.

Thank you for the information

Aw Hazel, I do hope you like it here. :) Don't worry, you'll get your head around this site after a while. I know not everyone is use to using technology every day but you'll soon be in the swing of things. I'm glad you're taking part in the Winter Solstice Challenge, I'm doing it too! ;)

See you around!! ♥ x ♥ x ♥

Hi Hazel, I should also have said that the way in which you cook your food is important in order to stay within your calorie allowance and eat a good range of food.

Hi Hazelnnett, all the best with your weight loss. I am starting to lose a little weight, but it takes time. I am thinking more 'healthy eating' rather than weight loss. I am aiming to enjoy my food ... a good place to start. All the best with achieving your goal. Xx

Hi healthy eaters

Does any body know how many calories there are in breaded cod from Sainsbury s please. I did look on the calorie counter but could not find it.

Thank you

Hi Hazelnnett

You can always find the calorie value of branded products from the shop's website. Sainsburys 300g breaded cod fillet is 268 calories per fillet. If you want more information on these, this is the link:

sainsburys.co.uk/webapp/wcs...

I just put in Sainsburys breaded cod fillet calories and this is what came up.

Hope it helps.
