Nibbles: Just about to start week... - Weight Loss Support
Nibbles
Some of the calorie counted snacks are individually wrapped which allows "a biscuit or two" without the temptation of the rest of the pack...
Another way to have something to graze on is to have a handful of granola or cereal mixed with some dried fruit - again, weigh it out and count it, but it gives you something sweet to chew on when the urge strikes!
Thanks but as I am diabetic I will have to find sugar free granola do you know any ? as I'm sure that may help
You could make your own using oats, a few chopped nuts, a little dried fruit chopped into small pieces (this is a natural source of sugar so check if you can have that) some pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, add an ounce or so of melted butter and a little sugar free sweetener, a little salt and some cinnamon too, and bake in a hot oven for 10 mins or so until beginning to brown. Cool and put in a jar or tub, and nibble when required in small quantities, or sprinkle on yogurt for breakfast.
2 finger kit kats are good, 107 calories and satisfy the craving for biscuit AND chocolate 😊
Nairns do some fairly low calorie oat biscuits and oat cakes, if you can resist the temptation to eat a whole packet. They're not as sweet as regular biscuits, so you might not find them as moreish.
An alternative might be popcorn, depending what you're looking for. There are some fairly low calorie brands, or air-pop your own!
As Caz28 said, a two-finger KitKat is not too many calories.
On the other hand, if you go cold turkey on the biscuits for a few days, you'll probably stop craving them.
Thanks I do have sugar free digestives at 47cal for two but it's hard to stop at two
I know where you're coming from, I too am craving food that I know I don't need (mainly KFC and Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate) and I am having to be real stern with myself and argue that it would ruin all the good and hard work I have put in this past month. This is the longest point I've been on a diet, normally I would have given in before now!
I'm also feeling really tired today but I'm not hungry, which I know but still craving KFC and chocolate. It is my time of month so that might have something to do with it but I have noticed that I am in hardly any discomfort this month, something that never happens for me as I am known to suffer but I think because I've been so healthy and drank nothing but water and unsweetened tea I haven't needed one pain relief tablet! So already I am feeling the health benefits! I have to keep telling myself these things to keep myself motivated. Maybe you could try this too? What have you noticed that is a direct result of your healthy life-style?

Not noticed anything yet I thought the weight loss would help my arthritis but this week my knees have been worse than ever but hey I'm sure they will improve. I am however using reciepes from the hairy dieters and slimming world using fresh foods and seasonings to make much tastier foods than those thrown together in the past. Like you I'm starting week 3 and am still enthusiastic by now I am usually cheating that's why I carnt give in to the nibbles
I am starting week four, not three. It's been an entire month and I have stuck to it and not once have I 'cheated' lol how long this will last I don't know but I'm feeling very proud of myself!
Good luck with the munchies, I think there is a section on the 12 week plan, it might even be week four (my week) that gives advice on how to deal with cravings.

I sometimes have Nairns ginger oat cakes. They come wrapped in packs of 3 or 4 and are lower calories than biscuits. Very tasty they are too!
I think melba toast breads are also lower calorie than biscuits - but a bit dry perhaps.
