Hi Healthy Mamma here. About 2 years, ago I lost about 80lbs. Since then I have gained it back. I was on BP meds and was able to get off them. If I don't loose the weight again I will be on BP meds again and I don't want that. I have already started eating healthy again. No carbs,No fried foods,No sweets. I no I have a long road but I hop I can keep the mindset to do it again. Truly upset with myself. I have cronic foot pain so my exercise has taken a back seat.Any ideas on how to get rid of heel spur pain? Sure eould like to stare walking again. Any suggestions is,welcome.Thank you.

Hi and welcome Healthy-Mamma
Sorry to hear about your heel spur pain, I've had plantar fasciitis and know how painful that was!
This may help you

Hi good luck on your losing weight journey I have OA I swim it helps to tone up and make you feel better I'm on bp tabs and have now lost 2 stones it have taken me since January but I joined nhs weight loss on here it's been a great inspiration I hope it can help you too x
I know how you feel, Healthy-Mamma. I'm at my heaviest ever due to chronic fatigue and bursitis in my hip, which have cut my exercise right down. Be kind to yourself. If you have to go on the meds temporarily you can still come off them when you achieve your weight loss goal. Sounds like you've made a good start.
Perhaps try a foot bath with Epsom Salts? It's a bit old fashioned but might help. Have you tried an arch support or other orthotics in your shoes?
Hope you find something that works for you.
Thank you Penel, yes I have tried that. It seems I've tried to me just about everything. This summer I went to 2 different doctors but there methods didn't work either. So now I am going to try this deep massage method of this man on the net. It really hurts when I do it but he says no pain no gain. Hopefually as I do it everyday the pain will lighten up. Anyway enough about me. I am so glad to Meet you and hope we can talk again soon.
Hi, if walking is a problem, are there non weight bearing exercises you can do, eg swimming or peddling on an exercise bike? I appreciate you;ve got to get to the pool or gym to do them, but perhaps that's a way forward while your feet are hopefully recovering.
It is difficult to exercise when your feet hurt, that's for sure.
Hi MEBXYZ thanks for that good infomation. I do have a stationary bike but the way I hold my foot on it is a no go. But the swimming is something that I definitely have thought about. I will probably have to do that. At least I can do year around at a gym with a indoor pool.So far foot is still very painful and surgery is really not a option for me. But I will keep trying new things and hopefually one day something will work.
