A long while back I lost 2 stone which for various reasons has gone back on again. So disappointed because I had been so motivated. Any tips to motivate me to try again and how to be motivated to stick at it. Any thoughts appreciated.

That's really good to have lost two stone. And as you've done it once, you can definitely do it again!
I don't know how you lost the weight the first time, but for me it helps if I don't look at it as "going on a diet". There's no way I'll keep at that because at some point I'll expect to be done with it. And I definitely don't want that. I'm currently trying to change my lifestyle to be more healthy, which means eating better and exercising more. So I won't be coming off anything so much as trying to train myself to eat better and exercise more!
Good luck keep up the good work!
Thanks for your reply. I agree with not being on a diet but making sensible life long healthy changes. Easier said than done but I have stuck at it today and had a walk.
I agree totally. This is not a "diet" but a change in eating pattern 😊 Small changes add up to a big difference long term 😊 Tackle one thing at once, whatever your problem areas are, mine were snacking and large portions. I also did very little exercise due to chronic arthritis but almost a year on, 2 1/2 stone off, and I exercise at least twice a day, just gentle walks mostly, and some strength training. I feel 20 years younger 😊 Good luck
Congratulations on losing the weight initially, it shows that you know what you need to do. I think this is a long term project and you just need to recalibrate your desire to get healthy. Perhaps do a reboot and do the nhs 12 week plan to help get you going again?
see Pog53! you know you can do this! all you need is the want to. that is you want to do this. I heard a saying once that goes "nothing tastes as good as healthy feels" just remember that and the rest falls into place. ok, no it does not. but it is a good saying and I try to say it to myself whenever I need a little pick-me-up. I am still eating some sugar which according to my dr I need to quit as I am now pre-diabetic. that is the pits. anyway, that is motivation for sure. I hope this does not happen to you, but nonetheless, keep your chin up! together we can do this. stay focused and post and read and follow the nhs 12 week reboot and move and all will be good, not easy but good.
