Hi guys! i am setting my self a challenge to loose 6 stone, if anyone could tell me any good diets to look at, any good exercise routines or if anyone could give me any tips, that would help me a lot. Thanks.
Wanting to loose 6 stone!: Hi guys! i am... - Weight Loss Support
Wanting to loose 6 stone!
Have a look at the NHS Choices website. The 12-week plan is great and they also have all sorts of podcasts and things for exercise.
I would also recommend setting smaller goals within your overall goal. A large goal can look insurmountable when you're feeling down or unmotivated, but a smaller goal feels more achievable (to me anyway!) and reaching the smaller goals is a great motivator to carry on.
The extra nice thing about the NHS stuff is that it's free! Which makes me even happier.
Hi Benn 18,don't know if this is ok but I have just lost 1 and a half stone on slim extreme gold, my freind has lost 2 stone, everyone else has lost at least 16 lb or so,they are not cheap you can get them here in England, but I send to florida for mine,a bit cheaper but postage very expensive, really do work cuts your appitite it right down,I don't know anyone had any side effects, I've had all the rubbish in the past, injections diet after diet, but this is different, may do as a kick start.best of luck.
Making the decision to change how you live your life is the first, most difficult but must important step 😊 "Diets" that drastically reduce calories tend to not work long term fir a variety of reasons. I changed my whole outlook, I follow a generous plan with all my favourite foods, and have gradually built up my exercise 😊 That was almost a year ago and I feel like a totally different person 😊 There are lots of people on here doing the same, making permanent changes for lifelong health and improved well being 😊 Good luck 😊
I obtained the book Facts Not Fads from the British Heart Foundation via their website. It isn't a diet as such but you learn about portion sizes and healthy eating. My challenge was to lose 9 stone. After only 15 months I have 4.5 pounds to go. Dieting over an extended period of time could be harmful. I'm never hungry and always full of energy. I applied to and joined my local Livewell group. I go to exercise classes, play badminton, walking football and use the gym. All for free. It gives me access to all the exercise I need, supported by expert advice. It also has a social element because you meet new people and make friends. Hope your challenge goes well.
