I did so well between January and April, and by the end of April I was on top of the world having lost 14 pound in 14 weeks. I was due an NHS check up at that point, but the doctor's surgery then weren't interested - having told me in January that I was going to be retested for various. I'd been given a stern warning in January. My enthusiasm was a bit squashed - childish I know! Since then, and increase in workload, late nights and my piggy habits have crept back. Have gained 5 pounds and need to readdress the situation. So here I am 'coming back' to it and making an effort to repair the damage. Setting the target of 8 pounds in 8 weeks. I hope I can get back into it.

Perhaps you need a new motivation! You used that check-up as your focus for your weight loss efforts and now they have pulled the rug from under you! (Rotten lot weren't they). Have you a birthday, family occasion or social event you can circle on your calendar to use as your next focal point? Whilst we know we are putting in the effort purely for ourselves, we all need to have self-esteem boosted occasionally by others. Hopefully folks on this forum will give you the encouragement you deserve!
Hi Happymary,
Welcome back! I remember your name from before, and it's good to see you again.
Fantastic to hear you lost 14 pounds in 14 weeks, that is really brilliant!!! Congratulations!!! I know you've re-gained 5 pounds due to some more recent stresses and workload etc, but essentially you're still making good progress overall, and I would like to wish you the best with your goal to lose 8 pounds in 8 weeks. You've done this before, and you can do it again!
Good luck, and have a great week ahead.

Hi, I also aim for 1lb per week and it can be done! Well done on your previous success and welcome back! The Monday weigh in is motivation for me and they are very non judgmental! Good luck!
You have shown to yourself what you can do and you will do it again. With you very step of the way. Xx
