Well I'm on week 6 of C25K, and have slowly been getting into the swing of the eating plan, I'm not doing as well as I should so I guess it's my own fault that my loss is slow..... I lost 3lbs the first week, nothing in week 2 (stayed the same) just weighed myself and have lost 1lb...... I know before you all say it... A loss is a loss.
But I have reduced my calorie intake, I still have bad days not as many though, but my exercise has doubled, C25K 3 times a week, Zumba once a week, and a 3K walk to and from work at least 4 days a week.... So I thought it may be a bit faster....
Oh well I won't give up, I will get this weight off, I guess I have had it for years, so slow and steady is the right way to go......
To everyone else hope you've had a better week and are doing well π

hi Radleychick! are you at that plateau stage maybe? it is something I have heard of but never reached as I have never lost more than 2 or 3 pounds at a time anyway. I am so impressed at your exercise routine! I can only hope I can get there some day. right now I am at the write down everything you eat and count the calorie stage--soon to start the move your butt stage. I am almost scared to walk for fear my aching knees and ankles and hips will be protesting but at my age (49) I am expecting nothing less than some complaints from my body. I am feeling a bit low myself tonight as I ate an entire mini pizza around 900 calories by myself a while ago, but since I have been on here posting, I feel better. it is so nice to surround yourself with others that are going through or have been through the same things you are. I would never have made it this far without this forum-- even though it has only been 10 days I have still lost 9 pounds and am beginning to get excited about exercising and feeling good again. we can do this!!!!!
Not sure I'm at a Plateau yet... But I will persevere!
In relation to exercise, I'm 53 this month, and thought I was too old to run, but the forum on here for C25K like this one is brilliant, I feel like I have friends who know what I'm going though and can help motivate me.... I'm a bit of a loner at homeπ So being able to communicate with like minded people is brill.
If I can last 6 weeks on C25K I'm sure you can .... Yes my body doth protest sometimes, but I just take it slow and steady and I feel great that I am at last taking control. So you can do it! Whatever exercise you chose,π
Don't beat yourself up about a slip, just write it off as a bad choice, and get back on it... We all have not so good days, remember how well you have done so far.
Great you've lost a 1lb and you're doing lots of exercises. I was the same watching what I was eating and going on 2 hours walking 6 days a week but my weight loss wasn't as I wanted losing very little weight or nothing at all going from one month to the another in fact one year to another.
Like you I had bad days but what helped me, I started watching " Secret eaters" a programme on one of the tv channels I'm not sure which channels sorry, watching that programme put everything into perspective, I was eating a lot more calories than what I thought that's was why I was not losing much weight or nothing at all no matter how much exercises I was doing.
I've tarted the c25k I'm starting W6 tomorrow and planned my diet, I'm losing 2lbs a week which I'm happy with and it is the first time in ages I see a change in my shape and see things happening. I'm 53 years old next month and been heavy for years this year I'm determined to get to my ideal weight and can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I will also say I have a pig day on Sunday's eat anything I want then get back to my diet 6 days a week and still losing weight being on diet shrink the stomach so you get full very quick so on my pig day I'm eating a lot less than what I used on the diet I thought I was.
I believe you will reach your goals you're already doing lots exercises you will find that something that will get you on the road to losing weight.
I wish you the best of luck. Reaching W6, you're doing great keep up the good work.
Sounds like your doing great now ..... Well doneπ
I will look out for that programme. Like you I'm determined this will be my year to get to a healthy weight, I tried for my 40thand 50th but failed... I am now in the zone. So hope the eating will improve.
Do not give up Radleychick, you are doing all the right things, I am at a stand still lost the first two weeks and none since, as of Monday I will be in week 6.
It is and can be disheartening but we are on the right road, as we have not gained anything.
