Had a really good last 5 days, been tempted to get on scales. Trouble is if I don't see a loss I get so dissolutioned and then there's a chance I come of plan. In fact I'm scared of the blooming scales😜I'll wait till Monday weight in.

Remember the scales are only a number.... but what you have started to do is to care for your lovely self; looking after no. 1! Healthy eating is for life, not just until weigh-day....The numbers are there purely to help you visualise your progress. If you have been good with your food, you will lose, and if not this week, maybe next week!

Keep your mind busy looking up interesting low calorie recipes to try. Buy some new or different vegetables and experiment with different ways of cooking them. Keep it interesting, and don't forget to chat on this forum about your highs and lows along the way.

Hi,

I have a similar issue. I find scales very motivating if they're going down but very unmotivating if going the wrong way! I was getting way to obsessive weighing myself multiple times a day, every day. I was struggling to lose weight and getting more and more frustrated. This week I decided I just had to stop so I didn't revert back to bullimic tendencies. I didn't count calories or weigh myself. Low and behold I weighed myself and have lost weight!

It is worth waiting the full week, if you can. Because it is enough time to get a measurable loss for most of us. 5 good days should give you something provided you don't go mad the other two. Fingers and toes crossed for your weigh in.
