I love reading all the posts but haven't posted anything myself for ages. To be honest I haven't had anything interesting to say but today just wanted to give myself a pat on the back. We went away for 5 days (it was my birthday on Tuesday), had a great time and although I sort of put my diet on hold I managed to come home the same weight as I left. This is massive for me as previously the diet would have gone out the window, never to return, but instead I got up this morning, back in the healthy eating mind set and overjoyed that the scales didn't register any lasting damage. My start weight was 14st. 1lb and I am now 12st. 9lbs, although it has taken me since the middle of January to lose the 20lbs. The weight loss seems to have slowed down a lot but at 69 I appreciate it does take longer, even though I'm quite active. In 6 weeks my son, daughter in law and two gorgeous grandsons are visiting from Australia and I would love to lose a few more pounds before then but at least I'm not the big fat nanny I was 4 months ago! Good luck for the week ahead everyone.

Well done you! Happy belated birthday wishes for Tuesday! My husband's birthday too! You did really well not to gain whilst away! That's my fear when we go to Italy in three weeks! All that lovely ice cream & pasta!
I'm sure you will lose more weight before your family arrive from Australia! I bet you can't wait! Have a lovely weekend! 😊
You've done so well to not give up after your little break and the weight is going in the right direction. I hope you have a lovely time with your family!
It's great to see you, and Congratulations on your really great weight loss - you're doing so well. Happy Birthday for last Tuesday, and hope you had a wonderful time. It's great that your family will be visiting in 6 weeks time, and that's plenty of time to lose a few more pounds. I bet they will really notice a difference in you when they see you. Exciting!!!
Also, brilliant that you maintained your weight loss despite your Birthday celebrations, that is especially good!
Well done on losing those unwanted pounds; and what a brilliant motivator to see your son and his family again!
Welcome to the merry band of "Taureans" on this forum - me being another one of them; there must be some truth in what they say about we April/May babies loving the good things in life. However, we can also be strong minded and stubborn when we set our sights on reaching a healthy target!
