Try changing your routine or exercise maybe that will help .We all get stuck at some point. Hope things improve next week .
Yep, I am with Dish, try an exercise you haven't done for a while and/or change your diet around a bit.
Hope you get to see some movement on those scales - movement of the downward kind, obviously!
From what I know the only way to lose weight is to eat less calories than you use up, so if just restricting carbohydrates isn't working you maybe need to look at overall calorie consumption?
Good luck!
Thank you,really helpful link!!!!!!!
This is what happened to me when I went on the Atkins Diet years ago. I lost 6lbs in the first few weeks and then never lost any more over a year. I don't have to cheat on low carb diets at all, as I find all the protein means I am never hungry. So I was happy to continue eating in this fashion for a while. What these diets don't tell you is that you have to also limit kcal while limiting carb. You can't eat unlimited amounts of protein and fat, especially if you are a totally greedy person like me! Have a look at
fromTV's "Trust me I'm a doctor" medic, Michael Mosley. Or information on the NHS site about the Atkins or Dukan Diets, or even the Paleo one. I am currently supporting a family member on the 800 kcal Blood Sugar Diet, but only because he is diabetic and wants to improve his blood sugars. I am having the same meals as he is with the occasional extra yogurt or helping of berries. He has lost 7lb in the first week, I've lost 1.4lbs. He has been more energetic than I have and he has 8st to lose whereas I only have 9lbs. Staying on such a limited diet is not recommended for more than a couple of months initially, because it does not contain all the nutrients you need. So the safe ones recommend a particular length of very low carb eating. And then periods of eating more. I would not do it again beyond the limited time specified because of the bad effects on health and the social limits it imposes. But I like it for a short time.
