Hi all, I'm also a newbie. I've been battling with my weight for a long time and I have tried all sorts of diets and slimming programs with little success. I always manage to lose but it doesn't take long to come back on. My main reason for joining is that my best friend has recently got engaged and asked me to be her maid of honour. I have been a bridesmaid once before and at the time i thought i looked good but looking back at the pictures i didn't! i was completely horrified and will now not allow my picture to be taken too often. It was a real knock to my confidence and i don't want it to happen again.
This is my first day on the 12 week plan and i am hoping it will make a difference. I currently weigh 14 st 2.5 lbs so need to lost about 3 stone. It would be great to hear from people maybe further along in their journey, about their experience and any tips they may have.
thanks Laura

Hi Laura
and welcome! I'm only 6 weeks into my journey so there are many more on here who can impart much better advice and suggestions- but as a starting point if you look to the right of this page "pinned posts" you'll see a "newbie" section which is probably a really good place to start.
Sorry this is short but just popping out.
i wish you the best of luck- and always post if you need help... i'm sure the others will be along shortly to welcome you : )
Hi Laura I too am a newby day one today so maybe we can spur each other on. I have 2 stone to lose , I'm fed up of squeezing into my clothes and I refuse to buy a bigger size so there for I look terrible haha. All the best when's the wedding?
I've been here for 5 months now and have just lost 4st and there are many more like me. We love helping, inspiring and motivating new members, so be active on the forum and it can't fail to help
All the best
Welcome
