I heard about Weight Loss NHS through joining Slimming World today and need all the help that I can get. I'm 5 foot 4" and weighed in at 13 stone 7lbs and was really shocked at seeing this amount on the scales.

Hi, My first week of weight loss on NHS
Hi Breachview,
Welcome to the site, and I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community.
Here are a couple of links that you might find helpful:
1. A direct link to the NHS 12 week plan:
nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss...
2. A welcome pack put together by Moreless:
healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Hope you have a great first week, and hope to see you in some of our regular activities - there is a Monday group weigh-in if you are interested in being part of that. As your Slimming World group recommended NHS Weight Loss, then hopefully they will anticipate that the NHS 12 week plan will complement what you're already doing within your other group, and you may not feel the need to join our virtual weigh-in group, but you are very welcome to join in, if you feel it would help you.

Well done on taking the first step 😊 And joining this forum which is a really useful support 😊😊😊 each of us has our own motivation, mine was desperation after surgery to treat arthritis. I was part of a great "weight management programme" run by my local hospital, two key things have helped me :realistic target, - 5% loss in 8 weeks, then 10%, (which I achieved and really feel the benefits). The second thing is I have found a way of eating that suits me and my fsmiliy lifestyle, (calorie counting) I am on this path for life so ifs important for me not to feel deprived or that any one food stuff is banned. good luck, you can do this! 😊
