the turning up at work naked one --- not doing that either 😳😳😳😳😳
...or turning up at your own wedding wearing a spider man suit with thigh boots and being married by maggie thatcher and realising that theres a great big hole in the suit exposing your bottom to the congregation which your pedantic mother in law tries to cover with a tiny frilly hankie- after a big fuss (sadly the hankie is not adequate) - not living this one either
Funny, Marmite
LOL!
He is amazing!!!
I don't bother with spell check. I have several ways of spelling most words Creativity must count. I also appreciate Edward Monkton.
Its not spell checker its the angry red line underneath every word that Bill Gates and Google decide should be spelled the American way!
I am an American.
I'm unsure what your nationality has to do with my post above?- i was trying to state that it is very frustrating that pretty much every website these days (including this one- designed for a British weight loss plan) trys to auto-correct British-English into American-English when the two have quite distinct differences. I have made no attempt to discredit Americans or American-English per se (and would be pretty foolish if I did due to the amount of time i spend there). If you have taken offence I am sorry you feel that way yet I am baffled as to why- and perhaps you could explain? : )
Honestly, I was unsure of where you were going with your response and I was just letting you know who was responding to you' I intended to be preventive and instead I caused what could be a misunderstanding. I am abashed.
Vintage I appreciate your reply- that makes sense- but i have to say your comment to sheila was quite harsh
- if you're familiar with us weird and quirky Brits you'll know about "Banter" if not- no problem - in a nutshell- a lot of us "make fun of each other (tease)" while acting as if its serious at the same time (dead pan humour).
I dont believe Sheila was being intentionally rude she was merely following the quirky thread of the posts (as were you)
I could be completely wrong but i suspect I'm not in this case : )
I am not familiar with and did not pick up on your banter. I am terribly embarrassed and I do apologize As I reread the post it seems quite obvious I'm not sure how I got it wrong. I can only put it down to the fact that I have been dieting so strenuously my brain has been deprived.
Lol "its all good" and no harm done- just misunderstandings- and we can be a weird lot with our sense of humour- keep smiling - i have "diet brain" too today : )
This forum has wonderful, kind, supportive people and I very much appreciate their help. You, my dear, must be the fly in the ointment.
The above was a response to Sheila32.
I found your apology and had to search really hard to find what you were apologising for.
This is a health forum and I had been reading threads about arthritis, diabetes and Parkinson's.... I am sorry my facetious remark upset you, that was not my intention. Re-reading my comment I can see how easily I was misunderstood.
Please forgive me. I also find this forum very supportive.
Marmite - be quick with you Friday thought of the day - and let's put Thursday' thread to bed. Peace & love
