Hello there. Feeling fed up. I am as heavy as i have ever been. I managed this eating plan for three weeks and did well but fell if the wagon in December. Now as heavy as ever. I can be so good all day but at nightime I eat too much of the wrong thing whether I am hungry or not. Has anyone any tips xx

Yes, drink.........herbal teas, green tea, they distract you from wanting to nibble!

Make sure you have a protein rich dinner to prevent nibbles, I find st times a teaspoon of nut butter helps ( just the one).

Distract yourself and limit nibbles to portion packs individual ones

Thank you. I like your idea of portion packs. Save some calories for a small treat and keep it small x

Get away from the kitchen in the evening or just get yourself busy with hobbies that you enjoy doing. If you can go out for a walk, run or do knitting , reading.. Keep telling yourself I hate being fat this nibbling will just make me more miserable it is not worth it. Good luck!

I am going to try and totally distract myself. There is no easy answer. It's will power isn't it! Thank you for responding x

I definitely agree it is will power. You can do it! I used to eat all day and evening and now I am more in control over my foods. I don't eat after 7

I have had the same problem since Xmas, but have done OK this week. In desperation, I got out some warmer clothes (head to foot), turned up the heating a little as I am always miserable when cold. Then I doubled my low fat protein servings and more than doubled my veg intake. So full yesterday I went to bed without noticing I hadn't had my 80kcal reward treat! So I have managed to stick to my eating plan all this week for the first time in months. If you are still hungry after dinner, or even a bit nibbly, how many courses are you having? Aim for 3 with a veg soup or big salad as a starter, an extra veg serving to what you would usually have with your main course and a fruit based pud. That should sort out your evenings. But if it doesn't, make sure that you are eating enough bulk in the first 2 courses to mean that you would like a break before you have your dessert. Then that becomes your late night nibble. If all else fails take yourself off for a nice relaxing bath. Few of us have got into the habit eating in the bath, so that should be a room that you don't associate with eating. I do hope these suggestions are ones you haven't tried yet and, if you try them, that they are as successful for you as they have been for me. I'll let you know how much I lose when I weigh tomorrow. That might help you decide if you want to try this.

Thank you so much, I feel like its just me sometimes. I just need to get my head in the zone also, once I can do that I will be better, just struggling to get in that zone at the minute. You have given me some really good advice. You are right fill up with low calorie stuff. I will get started and let you know how I get on. Good look with weigh in, I hope you have done really well. Let me know how you have got on.

x

I know what you mean as I thought evening snacks would be my downfall but I've found sipping water when I want to snack has worked for me and upped my water intake. I've cleared out my chops and biscuits so no temptation.
